This is where we'll announce upcoming events or significant activities. If you've visited us before and want to know what's happening, take a look here first.

       Regular Hours!

As many of you are aware, like a number of restaurants downtown, we modified our hours for the summer. Well, summer is over, so we are open again at 11:00 for lunch, but we will still stay open a little later on the Friday and Saturday until midnight.

Our deck has been completed. You can now enjoy yourself in beautiful air conditioned comfort as you watch the San Marcos "Lively's" parade around the square. This glass-enclosed air conditioned environment is also a great place to throw a private party.

Look for some new events, like art exhibits, readings of plays, etc. If you missed the September reading of Texas State's Playwright in Residence Eugene Lee's two act play, don't despair. We are working with Mr. Lee to come back with some more of his original works. We'll keep you posted.

   Sake!

Okay, I've never been wild about Sake, but everyone's been wild about these drinks. And I have to admit that I like them too. Come on down and try some of our Sake Martinis and Sake Cocktails. Following are some of the  selections:

Martinis

  • Dreamsicle

  • Berrylicious

  • Apple-Pomegranate

  • Japanese Martini

  • Apple Sour

Cocktails

  • Kyoto Sunrise

  • Sakehjito

  • Tokyo Tea

  • Bloody Mari

       Texas Parks and Wildlife Article

The San Marcos Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted travel writer Sheryl Smith-Rodgers the first week of January 2008. Cheryl wrote a three-page article on San Marcos for the June 2008 Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine. I have attached a copy. Follow this link to read the article. Texas Parks and Wildlife Article. It highlights a number of San Marcos attractions including The Wine Cellar, The Wittliff Gallery, Crystal River Inn and Hill Country Grill. TPWD Article
