Many of us have been touched by personal accounts of either having or knowing someone with Breast Cancer. After having my wife diagnosed with it, we realized what an epidemic it really is. Traveling each day along the path with her was difficult at best but we have learned much. Many of the patients get painful blisters which open to raw skin and delay treatment. The area under their arms becomes so tender the pain is immeasurable. Tiny pillows we find and donate help to soften the pain and let each and every one of the women know they are not alone. My wife makes her special soaps and attaches to each pillow with the special message:

“YOU ARE NOT ALONE” & “WE WALK TOGETHER”

Even if this humble bird house never fetches a dime, we will continue to donate pillows as long as we can find them. The simple smile they bring when the technicians let each lady select one that, “fits” their needs is so special.
